The bar serves very delicious food. The 6 of us shared a potato stew, egg roll, pancake and korean lunch box set. Try the peach juice drink... delicious too!

To get there, take subway to Apgujeong rodeo station and use exit 5. While facing the main road, turn right and walk towards a Canon building, Soju Tec and Toms and Tom Coffee. Continue to walk straight and you should see standard chartered bank and paris baguette. At the next junction where you see the flower cafe, du sel brilliant, turn right and continue walking straight. When you see Look Optical, walk straight. At the T-junction, turn right. Gaepan is just around the corner.
The restaurant opens from 7pm till wee hours in the morning.

During my recent trip to Korea, I had the opportunity to know this seasonal vegetable, ssuk or mugwort. It has a pretty strong herb taste and would say that it has an acquired taste. Foreigners might not get used to the taste easily but the Koreans seem to love it! What I had tried was the mugwort sticky rice cake as well as mugwort fried pancake. The vegetable is a little tough and would need some chewing. Apparently, the locals would go hiking and pluck the vegatables back for cooking. Otherwise, it is also readily available at the traditional market or supermarket.

This is one place that I know, that regardless of season, the scenery stays picturesque. During autumn, maples leaves are found on many of its trees and during spring, the light pink spring flowers signifies the start of new year and new energy to the entire campus.

[Seoul] Love padlocks at N Seoul Tower
Couples believe that by securing a padlock together with a love message, followed by tossing n the keys away as far as they can, they will be blessed with everlasting love ♥♥
The stretch of fence as well as the cone-shaped trees are filled with thousands of locks already. May those with their padlocks tightly secured enjoy the bliss of everlasting love ^^

Best inflight cookie on Cathay Pacific
I have travelled on many flights but this is the first time that I was served such delicious macadamia nut butter shortbread en route my flight back from Seoul. So much so that I bucked up my courage to ask for extra pieces. Unfortunately, the flight has only prepared enough for 1 piece per passenger. In my second attempt in checking out for extra cookies. .. I asked the stewardess again while going to the lavatory. The helpful stewardess managed to find 1 piece while collecting the meal tray.
I did the same 바보 thing on my transit flight. Eventually, I managed to collect 2 pieces to being back home ^^
Remember. .. do not discard this cookie if you are taking cathay pacific flight. ..

Kimchi is certainly healthy since it is done using vegetables and chilly powder. The only downside perhaps is the amount of salt used in the preservation. otherwise, I think it is great. http://blog.korea.net/?p=15367

[Seoul] 9th Hangang Yeouido Spring Flower Festival 2013 ( 봄꽃제)
The Yeouido Cherry Blossom Festival has started. It covers a huge area from Yeouido Park and all the way until Hangang Park. If you are taking the subway, alight at Yeouido Station and use exit 3. You will hit IFC mall. Exit the mall, walk along the pathway, pass by Coffee Bean and keep going. You will see Big Yeouido Park 여의도공원. Enter the park and walk towards the northwest direction. At the end of the park, you will see 2 rows of cherry blossom trees lining along the road. Enjoy the walk.
The festival started recently and will go on until 21 April. Lots of locals, including office workers visiting the park during their lunch hour, bikers and tourists.
It is a carnival event with tentages set up along the way. The are also performances everyday until 21 April. That includes stage performances and band performances near the Han river. It is certainly a good time to pack your picnic basket and enjoy some sandwiches and beer, maybe.
Weather is rather comfortable today around 15 to 18 degrees. No need for thick clothings. Enjoy the sun, the flowers, the river and the company of your loved ones at the festival. Life is good ^*

[Seoul] Beautiful Pavilion
While watching Innocent Man (착한남자), I was captivated by the beautiful pavilion that overlooks the entire Seoul at night, which appeared in a few scenes. Some says it was the N Seoul Tower pavilion. I am not sure because the pavilion in the drama looks like it sits on a hill. I am still puzzled >. < [Seoulysoul is now on Facebook www.facebook.com/seoulysoul ... like my page ^^ ]

[Jeju] Leaving the land of tangerine and green tea
Am at the Jeju airport and waiting for my flight back to seoul. There isn't much of choice of restaurant after immigration. There is a korea restaurant, 7 eleven, souvenir shop, a big duty free shop and a cafe - Angel-in-us Coffee. Wanted to order the Real Dark Choco drink but it was available. As such I order a green tea shake instead and a green tea cookie. Not too bad for my lunch ^^

T money Card
Had problem using my T money this morning and had to resort to using a single trip card. Got my new T money card which is a Hello Kitty hp accessory. Isn't it cute? A normal new card costs 3000won... The cute hp card costs 6000 won. A little expensive but it is worth it!

Cherry Blossom at Jinhae, Gyeongsangnam-do
It is the Cherry Blossom festival again. The festival at Jinhae is now on until 10 April. Seems like a sight that should not be missed during Springtime. Anyone gonna make a trip there? There will be shuttle buses from Seoul to Jinhae during the festival. Travelling time is about 4 hours. Be prepared for a long ride if you are departing from Seoul. Bus details can be found on the KTO website. Anyone travelling from Busan to Jinhae?
